The Proximity Rule

Keep things where they will be used. If you take the dog for a walk and always go out the back door, storing the leash in the coat closet by the front door is probably not the best idea. Think about some of the clutter around your home and determine if these objects are in violation of the proximity rule. How would making a few storage assignment changes work in your benefit? Give it a try!
