Your Better Half....
Perhaps you think I am going to write about your spouse? Not quite. They say you spend the first 40 years of your life trying to get stuff, and the last forty years trying to get rid of stuff. Seems like a lot of time and energy (not to mention money!) that we put into that first half, just to undo what we have done. Sure, as we enter young adulthood and have careers and homes and weddings and kids, it is natural to accumulate things. We should be certain that we are bringing into our homes things that are useful and meaningful to us at that point in our life. And more importantly, we should be sure to do a periodic tune-up of our belongings and weed out what may no longer be working for us. Otherwise, our "second half" will leave us drowning in a sea of clutter!
A great quick tip as we head into the holiday season: with the influx of gifts, decor, and "stuff" soon to make its way into our homes, now is a great time to do some "spring cleaning". Spring cleaning in the fall.
